Review Summary Activities
Use the Summary Activities tab to see a list of all summary Activities within the current time-distance cell (based on the applied filters and subproject settings). There are multiple options to help you visualize Activities from any level. When you import a project with a deep hierarchy (from Microsoft Project, for example), these functions help you control how many levels are shown (expanded/collapsed) in the time-distance view.
Notes:
Expand states cannot be copied between HSP files; after dragging-and-dropping a project from one HSP to another, any summary Activities will be shown collapsed.
Expand states can be edited directly on activities in a Time-Distance View or in the Details section of the Time-Distance cell on the Summary Activities tab.
Ways to access
Click in a time-distance cell that contains summary activities. In the Object Properties pane, select the Summary Activities tab where all summary activities are listed.
Options
Display Details - Show/hide individual levels by checking boxes in the column. If you check/uncheck the top items, the items below are checked/unchecked as well (it is recursive).
For each summary Activity the following items are possible:
Display Only Details - Hide all summary Activities, but show all detailed summary Activities.
Show Details to Level - Show summaries and details just down to a specific level; deeper levels are collapsed. In the dialog that appears, enter a level; all the details are shown to just that level. Those at deeper levels are still collapsed.
Display Only Summaries - Hide all details, but show all summary Activities.
Note: If you activate both the Show Only Details and Show Only Summaries options at the same time, the detailed Activities are displayed and the summary Activity is displayed in a frame. The display of the frame can be defined in Options Display.
Expand/Collapse Tree - Open and close all sub-ordered elements.
Save/Load Preset - Save and load a specific set of display attributes (such as what levels are expanded/collapsed) for a time-distance cell so you can return to that state at any time.
