Reschedule Results
Use the Display tab to reschedule results. As soon as you have created links between activities, the activities can be calculated.
These are the valid rules:
Activities without links are not considered in calculations; they are treated as activities with a start constraint.
Activities without an incoming link remain on the start date.
Activities with incoming links are moved to the earliest start date, according to the Reschedule tool.
The calculations check the specified project borders, the start and end of subprojects, and constraints. An error report for transgression is then generated.
Ways to access
Click the background (an empty space) of a time-distance cell. Then click the Display tab in the Object Properties pane.
Steps
Hide or show the critical path and time floats
Click the background (an empty space) of a time-distance cell.
In the Object Properties pane > Display tab, check boxes for any of these critical distances and the float times under Display Options:
Total float - The total float of an activity is the time range in which the activity can be moved without influencing critical activities (project end). This movement does, however, influence successors.
Free float - The free float of an activity is the time range in which the activity can be moved without influencing critical activities (project end). No successors are influenced,
Critical path - The critical path shows the direct link between the start and end of a link chain. Should an activity be delayed on the critical distance, the link logic is influenced.
Example
Activities linked in an end - beginning sequence are shown according to the calculation on the critical path (displayed in red).

In this case, the project end date was constrained to a later date. Following the calculation, the total float is shown on the activities (single line) and also the free float (white bar). The project ends if still shown as critical.
Check the values of float times
Select an activity with floats.
In the Object Properties pane > Floats tab, you will see Total Float and Free Float details.
Options
Meanings of critical distance and the float times
Critical Path - The critical Path shows the direct link between the start and end of a link chain. Should an activity be delayed on the critical distance, the link logic is influenced.
Total Float - The total float of an activity is the time range in which the activity can be moved without influencing critical activities (project end). This movement does however influence successors!
Free Float - The free float of an activity is the time range in which the Activity can be moved without influencing critical Activities (project end). No successors are influenced!
