Position Figures
Use the Position tab to adjust the location of a graphic object in a view. The position (coordinates) of an object within the cell or in relation to a time or distance axis are set resp. can be adjusted user-defined.
Ways to access:
Select Object Properties toolbar > Position tab.
Options
Name - Set a user-defined name for each object. For symbol this name can be used in tokens.
Layer - Select a Layer from the drop-down menu for an object. Using defined layers, objects can be systematically hidden or shown.
Object ID - The automatically generated ID of an object is displayed.
The name and attributes of an object will be displayed on the tab Other Objects.

Distance and Time
The names may change to Horizontal or Vertical depending on the cell type into which the objects are inserted. The values shown can be in distance, time, metric format or % values. This is depending on the scaling of the object and the cell type where the object is inserted.
Pin point - This is the end point of the connector line displayed as a red circle with a yellow dot. Pin point position is not available for all objects connected with other objects, as then this is calculated. Pin point position is not available for objects in non planning cells (distance, time and graphic). For a text object it can be switched on.
Box point - This is that point where the connector line starts. The value gives the distance to the Pin point. If the object in no connected an this value = 0, there the Pin point moves with the object otherwise it stays where it is.
Length - This is the length of the object.

Each annotation object is defined by a rectangle. The box point sets the point, where the connector line starts. On changing the box point, the object is moved around that point.
Scaling
Depending on the scaling method set here, objects change their size when scales or cell sizes change. See details by cell, but in general:
Both axes - Resizes the symbol when you resize the cell along either axis (allows you to scale the symbol in both directions).
Distance - Prevents the symbol size from changing when you resize the cell along the time axis (usually vertically) , but resizes the symbol when you resize the cell along the distance axis (usually horizontally).
None - Prevents the symbol size from changing in either direction when you resize the cell containing the symbol vertically or horizontally.
Time axis - Prevents the symbol size from changing when you resize the cell along the distance axis (usually horizontally), but resizes the symbol when you resize the cell along the distance axis (usually vertically).

Note: Inserted graphics and symbols can also be exactly positioned and synchronized with the distance axis with the help of 2 points and the button Adjust Position. Read more about this in the chapter Graphics > Inserting Distance Graphics.
Connect an object with an activity
Select the object.
Click and Drag the yellow/red pin point to an existing Activity until the mouse cursor changes to a large anchor cursor.
Release the mouse button.
