Import Holidays

Use the Import Exceptions dialog to bring holiday definitions into a calendar. All libraries can be transferred between two Tilos files. In the installation directory of Tilos in the folder Projects there is the file named "Calendar.hsp, where you can for example find a pre-definition of calendars for various states.

Steps

  1. In the Tilos Explorer, click + to expand Project Data.

  2. Then double-click Calendars to open the list of existing calendars and a preview of each in the working window.

  3. Double-click a calendar in the list, and click the Import Exceptions button on the Calendar View tab.

  4. In the Import Exceptions dialog,

  5. Click Select File and browse to an .hsc file with holiday exceptions. The default location is C:\ProgramData\TILOS\Tilos<version>-Data\Calendars\.

There is a header section for each country, followed by the holidays. The date format is YYYYMMDD and with a tab separated, the name of the holiday follows. The files can easily be edited in Excel and pasted to the text file.

  1. Select an option in the State/Region list. The sample above shows "United Kingdom - England and Wales" in the list.

  2. In the Day definition list, select the day type that should be used for the holiday. Select always a non-working day.

  3. Click OK to generate the holidays.
