Map Additional Fields
Use one of several Settings dialogs to map more data fields between Tilos and either Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
Ways to access
Select File > Import/Export > Microsoft Project (XML) > Next > select a data source > Next > Additional Settings.
Select File > Import/Export > Primavera P6 (Native Primavera XML) > Next > select a data source > Next > Additional Field Mapping.
Options
Most fields like Activity name, Durations, or ID are fixed connected in the exchange. No setting is needed. However other fields can be freely mapped. In the left column, you specify the Tilos data field that should be exchanged.
Three types of data fields can be set:
UDF Numeric - This means a UDF will be created and the value of Tilos will be set into this UDF field. Note also the Tilos field must be a numeric one.
UDF Text - This means a UDF will be created and the value of Tilos will be set into this UDF field.
P6 Data Fields - This is a collection of P6 fields that get exported to the XML file. Some are read-only and can not be imported to P6 but they contain reasonable information such as costs, float, and others. This can be mapped with the free Tilos data fields.
Commonly exchanged data
Start and End Distance - This goes often into a UDF field. We recommend a text field because industry-specific formats can be used (like 3+000). If a numeric field is used, it gets formatted with a "." as a decimal value. Take care that the Tilos display unit corresponds with the format used for start and end distance values.
