Change Project Settings
Use the Project and Project 2 pages to define general project properties, such as the ID, drawing units, time, and day definitions, as well as defaults for new subprojects and views and the display within lists.
Ways to access
In the menu, select Tools > Options > Project tab (and also Project 2 tab).

Steps
Change a view’s distance and time range
Click in a time-distance cell and select the Cell Settings tab in the Object Properties toolbar at the bottom of the program window to change the range of the cell.
Enter the new distance range (Start and End Distance).
Enter the new time range (Start and End Date and Time).
Set a view’s range based on activities
To fit the current view range to the activities in a cell, right-click in the cell and choose:
View Range (In a Time-Distance cell.) For details, see Adjust Cell View Ranges. Set parameters in the Adjust View Range dialog, and click OK.

Gantt Chart Range (In a Gantt Chart cell.) For details, see Adjust Gantt Chart Ranges. Set parameters in the Gantt Chart Range dialog, and click OK.
