Ways to access
Open the Distance Scale Line Properties dialog. In the Object Properties pane (Details toolbar), click the Edit icon on the Define Distance Scales tab to change the settings of a distance scale line.
Options
Name - Enter a name for the scale entry. This name is displayed as a legend in the scale entry.
Visible - Deactivate this option and the scale entry within the scale is hidden.
Label - Enter here text and/or a Token field for the scale entry. Using the F8 Key you can see a list of all available tokens.
Scale settings
Interval - Enter here the interval for repetition.
Distance Unit - Select a Location Unit from the list of distance units.
Width - If the distance scale is horizontal in a view, the width is set automatically. For a vertical distance scale, enter the width.
Height - If the distance scale is vertical, the height is automatically set to the distance scale. For a horizontal scale, enter the Height.
Apply View Range - Should the values only be displayed in a certain area within the scale, activate this option and enter a Start and End for the values.
Text
Placement - Select the text placement:
Center (after line) - Text is shown between 2 scale lines: After the first line
After line - Text is shown after the scale line.
Note: Also see the Tilos Support Note - Known Sector Shading Issue and Tilos 10.2 MR3 Release Notes in the Tilos Community (English).
See 2 pictures attached, this is the same project open with 10.1 MR1 and 10.2 MR1.
We cannot put any more text after the second line of the section.
On line - Text is shown on the scale line.
Before line - Text is shown before the dash.
Center (beforeline) - Text is shown between 2 scale lines: before the first line
Alignment - Select the text alignment:
Bottom - Within a scale entry.
Center - Within a scale entry.
Top - Within a scale entry.
Rotation - Decide if the text should be entered horizontally or vertically. You may need to set the Height for the vertical direction.
Font - List of all fonts available and registered on the computer.
Size - Selection of possible text sizes. Another value can be entered as a positive whole number.
Text Color - Color pallet of theUser Defined Colors Or the system colors and the shades of grey.
Text color like sector - If this option is set, then the text appears in the color of theSector Types Assigned. This is only enabled if the scale line is linked to a distance profile or a sector profile.
Font Style - Select the format Bold , Italics and/ or Underlined .
Additional
Zero-point - This setting allows the printing of relative coordinates calculated from the given station point coordinate.
Apply equations - Activate this option to show relative coordinates.
Equation - All defined Equation Definitions In the libraries are listed.
Display only equations - Should you only wish to show the points of the equation definition, activate this option. Otherwise the station points will be additionally shown at the Color code.
Distance Profile - All defined Profilesin the libraries are listed. If you select a value, then a dash is displayed at the station point coordinate. In the field expression, you can further select a token related to the profile.
Display Only Profile Values - If you only wish to display the points of the profile, activate this option. Otherwise the regular points will be additionally shown at the interval set.
Background like Sector - If this option is set, then the background color is taken from the sector type.
Tip: Equations are primarily designed to have inside task properties for each task (as a second distance field). If you need to display equations in a distance scale, equations are not recommended; instead create a distance/sector profile that integrates the internal distance scale and the value (equation) that you want to display at this point. Then you can just display the profile in the scale.
