Create 10-Hour Work Days

Use the Day Definitions tab to define a week based on day definitions. The week definitions and the exceptions are based on day types. These definitions always describe 24h, from 00:00 – 00:00 and can be split into several time types (shifts).

Ways to access

  • See below for how to open the Calendar dialog.

Steps

  1. Do one of these to open the Calendar dialog:

    • Double-click a calendar in the Tilos Explorer > Project Data > Calendars list.

    • Double-click a calendar in the list at the top of the calendar view.

    • Click the Go to Calendar icon on the right side of the calendar view.

  2. Click the Day Definitions tab to see the list of existing definitions.

  3. Click the Add Day Definition icon.

  4. Click in the Name field and enter a descriptive name for the new definition, e.g., 10hr working day.

  5. Select a Foreground color and (if necessary) a Background color, as well as a Pattern for the presentation in Day Mode within a time-distance cell. ...

    • To create several shifts within a day definition, click the Split button. Then click in the From and To fields to adjust the start and end times. ...

    • Select an option in the Time type list:

      • Working

      • Non-working

      • Overtime

      • Weekend

      • Holiday

The time type you choose determines whether it is working or leisure time.

  1. Click OK to close the dialog.
