Progress Options
Use the Progres Options page, you can choose entry options for progress monitoring.
Ways to access
On the menu, select Tools > Options > Progress Options tab.
Global settings
Report Date - Define Date and time of the Report date line, that you need for progress calculations
Report date layer - Define the layer on which the Report line will be displayed.
Split annotations to start/end - Assign the text annotation of an activity to any of its process Activities by activating this checkbox.
Default date for actuals - Set the default date for each new actual association in Tab - Allocations (actual).
Calculate Progress by - Set the calculation rule for Progress % and Performance values:
Part Progress Values - Base for the Progress % and the Performance value calculation is the Part Progress value: Relates the Progress value of each progressed or open Activity part to the Total progress value.
Schedule (Activity Duration) - Base for the Progress % and the Performance value calculation is the Activity duration: Relates the duration of each progressed or open Activity part to the overall duration.
Effort of Labor resources - Base for the Progress % and the Performance value calculation is the Effort of Labor Resources: Relates the Effort of each progressed or open Activity part to the overall effort.
Activity Cost - Base for the Progress % and the Performance value calculation is the Activity cost: Relates the cost of each progressed or open Activity part to the overall Activity cost.
Microprogress options
Enable Activity micro progress - Activate this option in order to comprise the progress in time gaps as micro progress options.
Merge micro progress Activities with time lag less than - Should time gaps appear in the micro progress options that are less than the entered Time gap, then these sections are addressed as one performed Activity.
Time lag - The time lag shows the time slice for evaluating the progress. Select a given time unit from the list, e.g. calendar week, or use your own time units.
Default report time unit - This unit/duration describes how often a micro progress report takes place. Creating a new micro progress jumps to the start of the next report time unit.
Base time unit from library - Select a Unit from the list.
Calendar month / calendar day / calendar week - Next new progress report date is month/day/calendar week.
Custom value - Enter your value based on the base time unit from Dialog - Options - Project
Resource Performance
'Use 'Allocation (planned)' [uncheck for 'Allocation (actual)'
Checked - Cost, Income, and Labor performance values will be calculated from the resources in Tab 'Allocations (planned) - Standard Setting
Unchecked - Cost, Income,and Labor performance values will be calculated from the resources in Tab 'Allocations (actual) - In case you want to report to those actual allocations
Calculate Forecast by - This option controls how the forecast for To Complete will be set.
Allocations (planned) - The forecast for Activities in progress are taken from the Tab - Allocations (planned) of the Activity parts in progress.
Allocations (actual) - The forecast for Activities in progress are taken from the Tab - Allocations (actual) of the Activity parts in progress.
