Example of progress using the distance
The planned activity is 4,000 meters in length. Relative to the reporting line, the distance from 500 - 2,100 should have already been progressed. Also see Use Progress Methods.

However, the real completed progress is from the distance coordinates 2,000 to 1,000. Therefore, there are two incomplete parts of the activity.
The progressed part is lengthened to the reporting line (the direction changes) and the incomplete parts are attached behind the reporting line.
