Use Progress Dashboards
Use the Activity Dashboard dialog to get evaluations for the progress, planned costs, and resources, as well as actual data.
Ways to access
In the menu, select Tools > Dashboard.
Options
Analyze filtered data
Apply a filter, to confine the data being analyzed
Calculate Progress by (Tools > Options > Progress)
The selected Progress Method defines how the project progress gets calculated. Possible values are: Schedule (Activity Duration), Effort of Labor resources, Activity cost , Part Progress Values
Select the value to be used for calculating the % progress of an Activity. This is always done on division of Part Progress Value on performed Activities / total progress weight.
Effort of labor resources - The progress is set by the number of labor hours assigned to an Activity.
Schedule (activity duration) - The Progress is set by the duration of an activity in hours
Activity Cost - The progress is set by the costs of an activity
Part Progress values - The Total Progress Value is set by the user. On the progress split of Activities, the Total Value gets split by duration ratio into Part Progress Values.
Dashboard grid functions
The dashboard is a free definable rate system. Each cell of this great represents a value. This value can be a static text or a calculated value. This allows you to create your own dashboard setup.
Managing dashboards
Select a profile from the combo to change the content of the dashboard, create new dashboards, edit an existing, or delete the selected dashboard setup.
Dashboard setup
Click the edit button and the dialog Dashboard Setup Properties gets loaded.
Dashboard Export
Click the icon to copy the dashboard into the clipboard.
Resource and Cost Summary
Resources
Within the table, either All resources are listed, or only those marked as 'Is labor'. The table is based on scope selected in the field Analyze.
Name - The name of the resource.
Account - The cost group of the resource.
Hours (planned) - The total hours of the resource .
Hours (performed) - The hours of the resource on Activities with flag Performed set.
Hours (actual) - The actual hours of the resource (actual allocation).
Costs (planned) - The total costs of the resource.
Costs (performed) - The total of the resource on Activities with flag Performed set.
Costs (actual) - The actual costs of the resource.
Using the Activity Dashboard dialog, you will receive evaluations for the Progress, the planned Costs, and Resources as well as the Actual Data.
