Define Calendar Day Definitions

Use the Day Definitions tab to set different models for a daily working time. These definitions are used to define a periodic element of a calendar, a week, a period definition, or for exceptions.

Steps

  1. In the Tilos Explorer, click + to expand Project Data.

  2. Then double-click Calendars to open the list of existing calendars and a preview of each in the working window.

  3. Double-click a calendar in the list, and click the Day Definitions tab.

  4. Review the existing definitions and click in any field to modify it, if needed. Select any unnecessary definitions and click the Delete Day Definitions icon to remove them.

5. Click the Add Day Definition icon to add a new period.

6. Enter a unique ID and Name to identify the day definition.

7. Click in the various fields to assign colors for the Background, Line Color, Color in calendar view, and if needed, a Pattern.

8. At the bottom of the dialog, each shift shown references a specified time type. Select a row and use these buttons to assign shifts in working time and non-working time (From and To columns):

  • Split - Click to create a new line entry by splitting the time of the selection into two (2) shifts.

  • Delete - Click to delete a selection and assign the shift end of the deleted line to the upper line. The last line cannot be deleted.

  • Reset - Click to remove all existing lines except for the last one.

  • Edit Time Types - Click to open the Edit Time Types dialog for editing the time type table.

9. Click OK twice to apply all your changes.
