Calculate Meeting Points
Use a link to calculate the meeting point between two activities that are working towards each other on the time and distance axes.
Ways to access
Select a predecessor activity in a view. Click-and-drag the link icon to the next activity until the cursor changes. Edit the properties for the selected link in the Object Properties pane > Link tab.
Example
Activities A and B are working at a rate of 3m/h.
The rate of activity B changes to 5 m/h.
The meeting point is recalculated.
Steps
Calculate the meeting point of two activities
Select the predecessor activity.
Click-and-drag the link icon to the next activity until the cursor changes to Edit the properties for the selected link in the Object Properties pane > Link tab.
For the Link type, select Calculate meeting point.
Set a time gap, if one activity should finish before the other.
Calculate the activity by pressing F9 on your keyboard or clicking the Reschedule icon on the toolbar.
