Display Options

Use the Display page to globally define how lines are displayed for progress, baselines, Gantt charts, etc.

Ways to access

  • Select Tools > Options > Display tab (or click the Options icon on the Main toolbar).

Line options

  • Annotation connector - Set the display of the connection line from the Activity to the annotation.

  • Expanded summary Activity - Set the display of the summary Activity as a rectangle in collapsed state (display of summary Activities).

  • Use color code - Color the hierarchy based on each Activity's indent level using a color code (predefined set of colors for levels in a hierarchy; same as those used for the Gantt charts and also for the structures in the group Gantt chart mode). You can also override the color code at the individual Activity level. If you have a deeply nested summary structure, it is helpful to color rows based on their indent level. If a summary Activity is expanded, a frame appears with a certain color and line style for expanded summaries. If you have a deeply nested summary structure, it is helpful to color rows based on their indent level. The colors are applied to the levels in a structure.

  • Use color schema for Activity structure - Use color schema for Activity structure: Color (shade) summary icons according to a predefined color table schema. Once enabled, select a color schema in the list. The selected schema is used in each Activity table where Activity structure is shown. You can also create a new schema or edit existing schemas.

  • Use setting from Activity (default for new views) - Check this box to override the assigned summary color code if an Activity needs to be shown in a specific color, i.e., summary Activities can be colored by code or individually. This setting for the view (when you create a new time distance cell view) and is the default for new views.

Progress

  • Report date - Set the display of the report line on a project chart.

  • Progress Line - Set the display of lines for completed sections of an activity.

  • Display progress line behind the Activity line - Progress line will be displayed behind the

  • Progress Pattern - Set the look of completed sections of an activity with a shape.

  • Non-evaluated microprogress -

  • Line - Select a line style that is additionally printed for non-evaluated microprogress online Activities.

  • Pattern - Select a pattern style that is additionally printed for non-evaluated microprogress on shape Activities.

Baseline

  • Use Activity line style - Use the line style of the Activity. The baseline is printed in the same color, but brighter.

  • Use Activity line style with selected color - Use the line style of the Activity, but all baseline Activities are printed with the same color.

  • Use same line style for all - Use the line style and color from these settings for baseline Activities.

  • Activity connector line - Display a connection line from the current Activity to an activity in a baseline. Select the color and line style as well.

  • Display Activity ID - Show Activities ID is shown at Activity and baseline.

  • Draw pattern for block shapes - Draw the pattern for the block shapes for the baselines also.

Gantt chart view

  • Row height - Set the default for new views with a Gantt chart cell. You can change this value in the Gantt chart settings. The height value is shown in (cm) or (inch), depending on the setting for display units.

  • Activity / Baseline top margin - Set the default for new views with a Gantt chart cell. You can change this value in the bar chart settings.

  • Activity / Baseline height - Set the default for new views with a Gantt chart cell. You can change this value in the Gantt chart settings.

  • Activity / Baseline bottom margin - Set the default for new views with a Gantt chart cell. You can change this value in the Gantt chart settings.

  • Progress color - Set the identification of completed sections of an activity in a Gantt chart.

  • Critical path - Set the display of the critical path within a time-distance cell or a Gantt chart cell.

  • Grouped summary Activity color - Select the color to be used for generated group summary Activities in the Gantt chart.

  • Baseline transparency - Set a % value by which the intensity of the color of the baselines is reduced.

  • Performed transparency - Set a % value by which the intensity of the color of the performed part of an activity is reduced.

  • Rounded corners - Specify a value between 0 and 100% to round the corners in a Gantt chart view.

  • Color effect - Specify whether the color for a Gantt Chart view is displayed as solid or with a 3D effect for printing.

  • Display shadows - Add a shadow under each bar in the Gantt Chart.

Other

  • Keep text color = Activity line color - Change the text color of an annotation with the Activity color of the Activity. This works only if both colors are the same before changing the line color.

  • Do not load external bitmaps - Hide added graphics within a view so you simply see a grey area. This saves memory and increases speed on loading the view. Before printing you can switch them on again.

  • Border around patterned calendar areas - Show a border around calendar bars.

  • Print underscore if text annotation is empty - Display an "_" (underscore) if an annotation has no text to display.
