Assign Costs to Contracts

Note:  The seldom-used contract features have now been hidden in Tilos version 11 so they can be refactored for more powerful use in future integrations with BIM products, like Trimble Connect and Quadri, where the activities can be connected to object/contract items. Tools > Options > Functions tab > Enable Contract Items has been removed, as well as Tilos Explorer > Project Library > Contract Data node. If you have a project with contract data, it has only been disabled and hidden, but the data is still in your project.

If you select a contract item in the contract you can assign employees, machines, and costs to this contract item on the Costs tab on the toolbar Object Properties. The costs, and perhaps the price of a contract item, are calculated from costs resulting from this allocation.

Using the icons on the right edge, you can Add Contract Item Resources, Add Costs, and/or Delete Contract Item Resource entries from the list.

Using the Rate you can define how many units the Resource requires in relation to the unit of a contract item. Within the Resources the costs are related to an Account in the Unit cost column.

If you assign an Account directly enter the Unit cost in the Rate column.

Example

For the resource Excavator, the costs are calculated with 50,00 € per hour (h) to the account machines. The unit in square meters(m2) is shown within the contract item.

The Rate0,1 means 0,1 h/m2, which equals 0,1 h/m2 * 50,00 €/h = 5,00costs.

The Mark up factor within the account is shown as 10% , which gives a calculated price of 5,50 €/m2.
